Mouth to Mouth installation reflects on the paradox of modern communication, where increased connectivity leads to more significant disconnection. Despite unprecedented tools for interaction, genuine connection slips away as communication is filtered through algorithms, commodified media, and streaming platforms. Silent videos draw viewers into ambiguous, one-sided dialogues, questioning whether digital interaction is authentic or simply performance filtered through technology. The mouth becomes a central motif, symbolising an isolated attempt to reach out. Yet, as visuals replace spoken words, meaning is often lost. Ultimately, the installation probes the growing isolation within curated “echo chambers” shaped by algorithms. These cycles deepen disconnection, muting genuine communication while reinforcing a mutable, fleeting sense of identity and expression in a mediated reality.
