You may wonder why I have a news section on my website or a newsletter when social media seems like the easiest way to stay updated. Well, yes and no. The brilliance - and the trap - of algorithms is that they capture our attention so effectively that I found myself at a crossroads: to either continue or step away. I chose the latter, saying goodbye to Instagram and rediscovering life without it. And I must say, it feels brighter!
To stay connected and share my news with you, I’ve decided to take a more personal approach - through email, as direct connection and updates here, as a blog - rather than relying on fleeting social media posts that often get lost among adverts and viral distractions, leading to endless doomscrolling.
If you would like to receive updates occasionally (no more than 1–4 newsletters per year) sharing insights into new projects, exhibitions, and other news, press the NEWSLETTER button, type your email, and write in a message, NEWSLETTER. I’ll receive an email and add your contact to the mailing list.

And Then It Fades (Away)
Photo Book, Published by Six Chair Books
And Then It Fades (Away) (eds. Geistė Marija Kinčinaitytė & Paulius Petraitis) explores contemporary Lithuanian art photography through twelve artists engaging with themes ranging from placelessness and archiving to instability and identity. With experimental and fluid approaches to image-making, the book weaves personal, cultural, and ecological narratives into a fragmented yet compelling map of the present. Highlighting varied practices, it reflects on photography as a dynamic tool for responding to a rapidly changing world, offering readers a thought-provoking encounter with the images and ideas shaping visual culture today.
With photographs by artists Ūla Aukštaitytė, Saulė Gerikaitė, Kotryna Ūla Kiliulytė, Kotryna Kirilovaitė, Vytautas Kumža, Ieva Maslinskaitė, Visvaldas Morkevičius, Gerda Paliušytė, Janina Sabaliauskaitė, Ona Julija Lukas Steponaitytė, Pavelas Šalaikiskis, Gedvilė Tamošiūnaitė.
